Volunteer Opportunities
Bike Bus
The Silver Rail Bike Bus is a group ride to school led by parent and family volunteers. Volunteers help lead and support students along the route, helping everyone get to school safely and have fun along the way.
We’re looking for volunteers who can:
🚲 Ride with students and families along the Bike Bus route
👋 Help welcome riders at designated stops
🛟 Help keep the group together and ride safely
📅 Volunteer on a day that works for you — Bike Bus rides may take place on different days of the week
No need to commit to every ride! Let us know what days work best for you, and the Bike Bus organizers will coordinate the schedule.
Mileage Club
Mileage Club takes place on Fridays and gives students an opportunity to get moving and earn miles during the school day.
Volunteers help:
Check students in
Track student laps/miles
Encourage and cheer on students
Help keep things organized and running smoothly
You can volunteer occasionally or regularly — whatever works for your schedule.

Before You Volunteer
All Silver Rail volunteers are required to have a current, clear background check through the school district. This applies to anyone volunteering at Silver Rail, whether through the PTO, in a classroom, or directly with the school.
Background checks are valid for two years, and the process is quick and easy.
